Sculpture Graveyard – October 7 – November 2. Curated by Katherine Kim
Inside viewing by appointment. Contact Window on Hudson @windowonhudson Outside windows always viewable.
Stacy Petty is a Hudson artist and his solo show Sculpture Graveyard is about the lifespan of sculptures. What happens when art is left to decay and breakdown in public, or worse, hidden away in a storage room and not displayed?
Petty is inspired by archeological digs and elephant graveyards, where people attempt to interpret and make judgment on a society from another time.
How will the future interpret our society based on the art that survives?
