Moths, or “Mothville”. (I think by this week, I’m behind in my natural Hudson disasters. “Sponge Moths” are SO six days ago, Trixie!)
Hudson Hall screened “Female Trouble” a few weeks back, and Mark Allen and I were wondering about another John Waters’ film, “Desperate Living”. Wouldn’t it be fun if Hudson did an ode to “MORTVILLE”, the fictional John Waters’ town in “Desperate Living” ruled by Queen Carlotta (played by Edith Masey)?
Mortville had “Backwards Day” – people wore their clothes backwards, walked backwards, and talked backwards. Maybe Hudson could have a “Backwards Day”?
Or, we can leave that for Baltimore.
How about a MOTH day? Everyone dress up as MOTHS in solidarity with our insect friends?
Maybe just give the whole planet back to the insects – it’s not as if us humans are doing that great of a job with it.
Happy Summer!
🙂
