I moved up here in 2002 because I wanted to be a “bumpkin” who knows the name of the grocery store produce man, gives rides to folks in Lowe’s vests when I see them in Fairview, gets blood work lab results from the doctors mouth the same day, and has excess produce (zucchini and tomatoes) dumped ànnonymously on my porch. I’m in love with no street lights, stars at night, bonfires, and lots of finger waves from guys in trucks!
