It’s a very sad week in the City of Hudson. Former Mayor Rick Rector passed.
Last year, I asked him to “work the door” at the Hudson Boat Club party after the Pride Parade. He was happy to help out. He had the chance to meet and greet friends and neighbors as they walked in. As Mayor, he marched in every parade, and enjoyed interacting with everyone. He loved small, personal everyday exchanges, and talking to everyone one-on-one.
He was a good man, who cared about Hudson and the community.
He will be missed.
