On opening day of the Columbia County Fair at the Demolition Derby, grab your pepperoni heel from Pierro’s and get a seat – quick! The bleacher seating was packed! Within the first round of the demolition derby there were two if not three cars that caught fire (see video above). Flames shot outof the back of a car as the driver scrambled out of the front windshield. The fire department was right there…but still. This is real. This is not a staged event. Kudos to everyone who participated, and I’m happy to watch while safely eating a pepperoni heel, but I think you’re crazy to do it.
As a vegetarian, the one time of the year that I fall off the wagon is the Columbia County Fair. Don’t tell PeTA – they might give me a fine. Also, I think a 95 is still an A.
The Columbia County Fair is the place to see and be seen – especially the beer tent. It is THE networking event of the county, for Democrats and Republicans!
Don’t forget the crafting rooms and livestock!

Footage from Wigstock 1992 Featuring:
Lady Bunny, Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger and the Boy Bar Beauties
Since I’m doing a drag event on Labor Day Weekend, I though I should transfer some VHS footage from Wigstock 1992.
This is all original footage, shot by myself, and sitting in various closets for over thirty years. The Boy Bar Beauties used to perform every Thursday night on St. Mark’s Place. It was magical!
