Hudson’s Cannonball Factory (formerly the Etsy building) at 359 Columbia Street – Columbia and North Fourth, entrance on ally – is hosting a holiday pop-up market featuring local merchants and makers. The market takes up the entire ground floor. The vendors behind the tables are often the same people who made the products. There’s no “middleman”, so your dollars go directly to the producers.
The market is open on the first three weekends in December from 10:30am – 5pm. The items are all very unique. Here’s a sample of some of the vendors you’ll find. Stop in and check them out.
Jody and Amy of Gear Envie sell unisex Hikas or gators, a modern take on the 80s leg warmers.
You may know Karen Fox from The Fox’s Den Millinery with her bespoke hats. She was a frequent vendor at the Thursday market this year at 7th Street Park.
Stephen Charlton of Charlton Woodworking is available to answer all your questions about his hand-made wood designs.
Rebecca Burt from Style4Vintage has a wide selection of vintage clothes.
Morganne’s light and fluffy organic cotton candy from Cirrus 9 Candy is the perfect treat – with some hot chocolate to warm a cold winter day.
Sara of sav_nyc will embroider a unique design right there at her table.
Liridona is a local artist and herbalist who dries local herbs into wreaths for the holidays.
Ava Rogers of Ava Rogers Jewelry is a gem – her sparking personality matches her sparkling jewelry.
Dennis and Anne Davis of Gotham Freeze are serving you gelato and sorbet – the perfect dessert after a holiday meal.
