Hudson Restaurant with a Commitment to Local Hudsonians
Hudson restaurant, Saint Florian at 342 Warren Street in Hudson, NY, is the answer to two important questions:
- What sit-down restaurant is open for dinner every day?
- What sit-down restaurant is open late, until 11pm?
Everyday, seven-days a week, the main floor of Saint Florian (The Lounge) is open from 11am until 11pm. The upstairs dining room is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm – 9pm. Reservations here.
Anyone who runs a lodging space in Hudson needs to be aware of this restaurant. Ravenous guests who arrive to Hudson late on a Friday or Saturday evening no longer have to rely on delivery service or a sandwich from a convenience store. This is also the perfect spot for anyone who wants to see a show or a movie, and go out for a drink/food afterwards.
Saint Florian serves a solid meal. The menu ranges from burgers ($9) to salads to chicken, pork chops, mac and cheese, and steak. The staff was efficient and friendly.
You cannot go wrong sending someone here; there’s something for almost everyone. The next time my family comes to town, this is where I’m taking them.
I had the fish and chips which was delicious, satisfying and well-worth $25.
The shoestring fries are homemade, crispy and mouth-watering – they really are good. Get them as a side. I think you must try the french fries if you’re coming here.
Monday night is Prime Rib Night. The place was busy, but we were still seated quickly. Saint Florian knows locals want their own special night out. They know their market. This is not their first rodeo.
I had to order the Relish Tray of house pickles, cruditées, gorgonzola dip and fried saltines (yes!). The pickled squash was a lot of fun, but not as much fun as the pickled(?!) grapes. Who knew? Those are no ordinary grapes – they pack a punch. I’m a fan. Order the relish tray, so at least you can say you ate some vegetables before your fried fish and french fries. Plus, the relish tray is a great conversation starter.
(Let’s pause for a moment to remember the relish tray at Kozel’s. Thank you.)

The world is a beautiful and wondrous place; love with all your heart, don’t reply to work emails on the weekends, and remember that the consumption of raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
