You may know Lindsay and Austin Guibor from their Natural Rhythms storefront across from the Amtrak station in the warehouse. Lindsay is a Red Hook native, who grew up in the Hudson Valley, met Austin while living in southern California, and brought him back upstate to fulfill their dreams of restoring and decorating old houses.
The couple work together, each adding their own expertise to every project. They’ve taken on some old forgotten homes, which, like many in the area, required a bit of repair. “One house was abandoned for almost ten years and had a hole in the roof,” said Lindsay. “But when you do what you love, it’s not like work,” added Austin.
As we walked through an 1806 Ghent farmhouse, Lindsay and Austin pointed out where they made changes. They opened up walls, pulled up old floor boards, and replaced them with new or restored wood. The Little Ghent Manor (now rentable) was lovingly decorated and restored for a client with local lumber from Ghent Wood Products, right down the road.
Lindsay sells furniture and home decor in the design store in the Hudson warehouse, and will use pieces when redecorating a space.
When restructuring the upstairs bathroom, they removed an extra wall and exposed the brick chimney.
“Sometimes, the space needs a pergola or a firepit.” said Lindsay. She works with each client to create warm, intimate settings where family and friends can create and share life’s special moments.
Austin and Lindsay try to salvage and save as much as possible – the cabinets may only need a coat of paint or the floors refinished. They enjoy their work, and as a couple working together, “We love crafting and creating spaces for people.” said Lindsay.

Lindsay and Austin are an incredible power couple! They work amazingly well together. Their vision and attention to detail is like no other. I especially like that they are able to restore old forgotten homes into a masterpiece using as much of the original materials as possible. You guys rock!
We loved working with Austin and Lindsay while they decorated and restored our 19th century farm house, Little Ghent Manor. Lindsay is so knowledgeable and talented in her field and was great and enjoyable to work with. She was very respectful of my tastes and preferences and a good communicator. Her design app made everything so easy and convenient especially with us living out of state.
