The City of Hudson’s newest meme account has only two posts of today – but what two posts they are!
The anonymous Instagram meme account produced an AI video highlighting the City of Hudson’s three mayoral contenders. If you do not have an Instagram account, you can watch the video here, on youtube:
Trixie’s List sent the meme account as few interview questions:
Trixie’s List: Congratulations on the video. It’s amazing, next level, and beyond current expectations. Are you a Hudson resident? What was your inspiration? Why this topic? Did your subjects know in advance?
Henry Hudson: Thank you! That means a lot. I was born in Hudson and now live just outside the city, but I’m still very connected to it.
I was watching old sitcom clips on YouTube when the Bosom Buddies opening credits popped up, and it sparked the idea of reimagining Hudson’s mayoral candidates in a sitcom-style format. I created it purely for fun, without informing anyone in advance. My intention was never to offend or upset anyone—just to bring a lighthearted twist to the election.
Trixie’s List: Since AI video is a fairly new medium, and many people may not understand, are you comfortable explaining the process?
Henry Hudson: Sure! I use AI video software to generate the clips, but the process takes time because you’re essentially “speaking” to the AI and refining its output through trial and error. To create motion, I often use different reference images sourced from the internet, which help guide the AI in generating more accurate visuals. Once I have the video clips I need, I bring everything into traditional video editing software, where I fine-tune the footage, add sound effects, dialogue, and music to complete the final product.
Trixie’s List: Any plans for a future video?
Henry Hudson: Yes! I’m working on a couple of projects at the moment. Can’t share too much yet, but I’m excited about what’s coming next. Stay tuned!
