Posters around town encouraging masks!
On the streets of Hudson today, I found these nifty signs encouraging others to wear masks. (Usually signs around town, without any known author, are not so nice…but these are rather pleasant.)
I think I have a Henry Hudson mask, with the face of Henry Hudson on a stick, somewhere in the attic. Ellen Thurston gave it to me years ago. (someone will have to remind me of that occasion in the comments below)
Watch the video for more details!
Many folks in and around Hudson are making masks. My good friend, Rachel Kappel, is helping to sell masks made by Frannie Mitchell – who worked at the Pocketbook Factory. The masks are great – $10! If you’d like one, please contact Rachel Kappel at her email address here. raedancer@gmail.com
Some masks, like Frannie’s (above), have beads that can adjust the elastic straps. Other masks, like Lisa Durfee’s below, have ties in the back for a different feel.

We will be wearing masks for a while. You’ll need one to run to the grocery store, a breathable mask for hiking, and maybe a more fashionable one for walking down Warren Street!
Beware the “SELFIE-MASK” – it’s a mask that has an imprinted image of your face. It may seem like fun, but, you’ll still get called out on the line at Stewarts for *NOT* wearing a mask! (I’ve seen it happen.) Then, you’ll have to explain that it’s a selfie-mask, and that you’re really wearing a mask, and blah, blah, blah….
I love this! I also saw a trend where people are printing shirts with their faces on them and an arrow pointing up so you know you is under the mask. See you Saturday!
Hi Trixie
