The Art School of Columbia County (ASCC) is pleased to announce art classes for children, teens and adults beginning the week of January 16. ASCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to making art education accessible in the lives of all people throughout the greater community.
The teachers are all practicing, professional artists and experienced art teachers who have devoted their lives to creating art, exhibiting their artwork, engaging with community, and teaching art to people of all abilities and interests. Art classes are offered once a week and are scheduled to meet mornings, afternoons or evenings during the week or weekends.
Art classes and media include: drawing, watercolor, oil or acrylic painting, figure drawing, print-making, color studies, mask making and creating a mandala.
Classes for children and teens are designed for ages eight through sixteen and include drawing, comic illustration, puppetry and theater.
All classes for adults, teens and children are small in size.
The Art School of Columbia County is located in the Hawthorne Valley area of Ghent, NY at 1198 Route 21C. It is a half mile from the Taconic Parkway in either direction.
