“Glennda and Friends was a TV show on Manhattan Public Access in the ’90s that featured drag activist Glennda Orgasm (Glenn Belverio) and weekly guest hosts, including best-selling feminist author Camille Paglia, homopunk director Bruce LaBruce, performance artist Vaginal Davis, drag queen presidential candidate Joan Jett Blakk and go-go boy Mark Allen.
The videos are a pre-internet time capsule of underground Queer and feminist history, and the culture wars of the ’90s, when drag, BDSM, gay public sex, pornography, date rape and gay assimilation were hot-button topics.”
