Oliver Myles Mashburn / Ethan Kelly
Oliver Myles Mashburn is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist based in Hudson, NY. Oliver began writing music as a teenager in NYC, influenced by the local punk rock scene and mid-century blues musicians like Muddy Waters and R.L. Burnside, as well as the rockabilly twang of Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Johnny Cash.
Working with producer/guitarist Jannek Zechner (David Bowie, Tony Visconti), multi-instrumentalist Clemens Grassmann, bassist Carlo DeBiaggio, and keyboardist Dylan DeFeo, Oliver released his debut album, JAWS OF OBLIVION, in 2021. Drawing sonic inspiration from country music, blues, and early rock n’ roll as well as employing lyrical themes concerning Earth’s current environmental crises, JAWS OF OBLIVION marks both a new chapter in Oliver’s songcraft as well as a return to the initial foundations of his artistry. Since then, Oliver and his band released a live cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “Waiting Around To Die” in 2022, and their latest single, “Highway Ghost Song,” in 2023. Oliver and the band’s latest single, “The Butcher’s Hook,” is set to be released in July of 2024.
