Join us for the autumnal installment of THAT TIME OF YEAR, the new reading series at Spotty Dog Books, 440 Warren St, in Hudson, NY on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 7pm.
THAT TIME OF YEAR is a quarterly-ish reading series featuring writers sharing work around a theme. October’s theme is “Hellscape.”
The fall event welcomes critically acclaimed writers: Laura Marris, Emma Copley Eisenberg, and Laurie Stone.
Laura Marris is a writer and translator. Her writing has appeared in The Yale Review, The Paris Review Daily, The New York Times, Words Without Borders, and elsewhere. Her first essay collection, The Age of Loneliness, was published in August.
Emma Copley Eisenberg is the author of the nationally bestselling novel Housemates and the narrative nonfiction book The Third Rainbow Girl: The Long Life of a Double Murder in Appalachia, which was named a New York Times Notable Book.
Laurie Stone is author of six books, most recently Streaming Now, Postcards from the Thing that is Happening, longlisted for a PEN Award. She writes the literary Substack publication Everything is Personal, with over 11,000 subscribers.
