Dana Johnson of Fork & Whisk, Chatham

Dana Johnson opened a new eatery, Fork & Whisk, in Chatham. You may remember Dana from Relish Hudson, which used to be by the Amtrak train station, and then moved to the corner of Columbia and 8th Streets.

"My wife has a video of me saying that I would never open another restaurant again." says Dana. However, that video documentation did not stop Dana with Fork & Whisk. "It's my happy place." she admits.

Dana gutted the space that used to be Main Street Goodness at 20 Main Street in Chatham (across from Bimi's) and started fresh. Dana and her friend built the main counter. All of the food is made from scratch and locally-sourced with no seed oils and no deli meats. Many items on the menu can be made gluten-free. The menu, listed below, has multiple vegetarian and vegan options.

Fork & Whisk is open four days/week Wednesdays - Saturdays, 8am-3pm. Visit Fork & Whisk and say hello (again) to Dana and her team.

Chef/ Owner Dana Johnson is a self-taught Hudson Valley Native with 30 years of industry experience, dedicated to crafting authentic, homemade cuisine presented in her rustic style. Committed to using thoughtfully sourced ingredient’s she crafts dishes that are both comforting and innovative. Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of the Hudson Valley Chef Dan Johnson brings warmth and hospitality to every plate sharing her love for homemade cooking in every bite.

Baker / Manager Jennifer Barden is a self-taught baker who brings a unique blend of care and hospitality to every guest. After a fulfilling career in nursing, Jen shifted her focus from healing bodies to nourishing spirits. With a warm smile and a passion for building connections, she creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. Whether you are a regular or just visiting, she looks forward to sharing a smile, a story, and a genuinely great experience with you.
