A seasoned comedian who’s brought laughter to audiences across the Northeast, he now calls Albany his comedy home while serving on active duty with the National Guard. Andy McDermott is a comedian, writer, and producer known for his sharp wit, dynamic storytelling, and expert joke writing. He has performed at the Woodstock Comedy Festival, O+ Festival, and on WPDH’s Boris and Robin Show.

Through his production company, More Than Jokes, McDermott has produced and hosted hit stand-up and variety shows at venues throughout the Northeast. His comedy has been featured at top clubs across New York, including Laugh It Up!, Rhino Comedy, Levity Live, FunnyBone, Yonkers Comedy Club, The Comedy Works, Stand Up NY, and more.

McDermott has had the privilege of opening for Kyle Kinane, Big Jay Oakerson, Eddie Brill, Paul Virzi, Kevin Farley, and other renowned comedians.
