Auditions for Girl With A Camera

The Two Of Us Productions is pleased to announce auditions for Girl With A Camera by Byron Nilsson.  Performances are May 9^th through 18^th, 2025 at the Claverack Library’s Marilyn & Bob Laurie Gallery.

Auditions will be held on:

1. Audition:  Wednesday Feb. 26^that 7pm
2. Audition:  Friday Feb. 28^that 7pm
3. Audition & Callbacks:  Sunday March 2^ndat 2pm

All auditions are held at the Claverack Library’s Marilyn & Bob Laurie Gallery located at 629 NY-23B, Claverack, NY 12513, 88 Route 9H in Claverack NY.

Synopsis – How does a creative artist come to terms with sudden fame? Photographer Ivy Wilmot found success as a photo-journalist but became a public figure when she married a movie star. As the marriage unraveled, so too did her career. There was another man in love with her – but he was the FBI agent investigating her father. Girl With A Camera shows us a life that couldn’t be constrained in the borders of a photograph.

Roles:

IVY WILMOT – (this role is cast) A quiet, creative photographer who made name for herself in the 1970s and 80s.

MARC FRENCH – the troubled movie star who spent a few years as Ivy’s husband.

NANCY ROSETTI – photo editor at Harper’s Bazaar whose drinking didn’t interfere with her creative judgment for a long while.

JEANNE MORRIS – IVY’s high school English teacher and frequent needy visitor to IVY’s life.

JULIUS WILMOT – IVY’s father, an electronics engineer with the 1970s spy satellite project at Perkin-Elmer.

LESTER BORDERS – Clean-cut FBI agent with his own artistic pursuits.
