The Claverack Free Library is pleased to announce the opening of an exhibition of work by the Columbia County Plein Air Artists on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Marilyn and Bob Laurie Gallery.
Columbia County Plein Air Artists (CCPAA) return to the Claverack Library to unveil their latest works in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. For close to a decade, this multidisciplinary group of artists have converged in the great outdoors to capture the ever-changing light, color and beauty of their iconic environment. Working outdoors (en plein air) gives their work a bold, fresh immediacy, be it in an intimate view of a small historic village or an expansive rural landscape. Both locals and visitors alike will be captivated by the unique, fresh perspective of the CCPAA.
Works by Richard Bazelow, Arlene Boehm, Susanna Grannis, Helen Hamel, David Lesako, Myra Lobel, Abe Madey, Tom Madey, Kathie Mock, Martha Morano, Lori Rothstein, Debbie Shaw, and Audrey Wyman will be on display from September 5th through October 19th during library hours.
The Claverack Free Library is located at the junction of NY Route 23 and NY Route 9H. Library parking is located at 629 Route 23B, Claverack NY. For information contact www.claveracklibrary.org or 518.851.7120.
