Starring Jennifer Beals, this 1983 dance extravaganza features some of the earliest examples of music video-like scenes in movies, eventually inspiring films like Footloose, Top Gun and Purple Rain, and features one of the most successful and award-winning movie soundtracks of all time.

The Story Screen Music Film Festival (SSMFF) is a new film festival spotlighting both music-based cinematic storytelling and the songwriters and musical storytellers whose words and music deserve our collective attention. This exciting program is a collection of premier and classic concert/movie musicals, music documentaries, and experimental cinematic concert events, including several video shorts by local Upstate New York Indie musicians and artists!
