Hey DJ! Keep playing that song! Youth DJing Workshop

This summer, Sarah Van Buren (SVB) and an impressive list of guest DJs will share a dynamic Youth DJ Workshop experience for youth ages 9 – 16. This program will include a summer kick-off party, a series of studio days and vinyl record shopping field trips, and a final performance where our newly trained DJs will take the stage for the whole community to enjoy. Participants will gain knowledge and skills related to digital and analog music-making, a collection of their own vinyl records, a chance to take home their own record player (based on workshop attendance), and a small “artist fee” for performing at the final event!

Dates/Times and Locations:
All Ages “Ready for Summer” Party: Tuesday, July 11, 5 – 7pm – Half Moon Hudson (48 S. Front St. Hudson, NY)
Youth DJ Workshops: Tuesdays, July 11 – August 15, 3 – 5pm – Hudson Area Library, with two field trips to local record stores
Youth DJ Performance for All Ages: Tuesday, August 15, 5 – 7pm – Hudson Area Library
