Hudson Area Library’s Ghostly Gallop 5K

Registration is now open for our annual Ghostly Gallop 5K and Kids Fun Run! The certified 5K course takes runners and walkers through Hudson, past the library, and back to the Jr./Sr. High School.
The top male and female finishers receive Cranna Cups, the traditional trophy for the race’s fastest runners. The top three male and female finishers in seven age categories receive medals and there are prizes for the biggest and fastest teams. This year’s race will also include a costume contest for children and adults with prizes in several categories.
To help support the library, registrants can raise funds on their own by requesting donations from friends and family. The Ghostly Gallop website makes this easy. Prizes will be awarded to the individual and team who raise the most money.
When participants register, they will be given instructions on how to set a fundraising goal. They’ll be able to track their progress against others. Prizes will be awarded to the top individual and team fundraisers in the Ghostly Gallop Fundraising Contest.
“Your support for the library is needed this year more than most,” Library Director Emily Chameides said. “We hope businesses and individuals will consider joining the Gallop’s virtual run and the Ghostly Gallop Fundraising Contest.”
To register for the Fun Run or 5K, visit ghostlygallop.info. The early bird deadline for registration is September 30. Registration is free for participants aged 17 and younger.
