Part of Indigenous Dialogues, a series of speaker events organized by the office of Mayor Kamal Johnson centering indigenous voices and stories throughout Native American Heritage Month. Heather Bruegl (Oneida/Stockbridge Munsee) is a public historian, activist, and decolonial education consultant who works with institutions and organizations for Indigenous sovereignty and collective liberation. Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork created by Molly Gochman that uses sidewalk interventions and earthwork installations to create opportunities for people to question, connect and take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation.
