Local History Talk: The History Of Chocolate In The Hudson Valley
Join Culinary Historian Peter G. Rose for her talk on the History of Chocolate in the Hudson Valley.
Ms. Rose will discuss the early trade by the Valley’s Dutch settlers in the 17th century and the subsequent manufacturing developments of chocolate through the 18th century into the late 19th century. There will be free samples of locally made chocolate from Verdigris Tea & Chocolate Bar and other local businesses at the event.
