Performance by Black Lake
The multimedia duo Black Lake presents a free performance from 7 to 8 pm at Lightforms Art Center, 743 Columbia St. (donations welcome). Guitarists, percussionists, and vocalists with video projections, sound sculptures, and more, the avant-garde Black Lake music/art duo consists of S. Moss and Suzanne Jennings – both visual artists and musicians. The multimedia group recently released its fifth album, “Shake” on New Reality Records. Their Facebook page [facebook.com/BlackLakeArt] tells audiences to expect an “immersive, other-worldly art music experience.” About the name “Black Lake,” Jennings has said, “We’re all about nature and consciousness. The name is so perfect for us, since when a lake is still at night, it reflects the heavens.”

Excited to hear about this, but actually it is Friday, March 11, not Saturday, March 12. Also, this performance is part of a larger art exhibition by Moss called The Lightness of Winter, which is ongoing through April 10. The gallery is open Friday 3pm-7pm and Saturday/Sunday 11:30-5pm.
