Richard A. Stone: Project Mayflower

The Claverack Free Library is pleased to announce an informative talk and presentation with Richard A. Stone, author of Project Mayflower: Building and Sailing a Seventeenth-Century Replica. Project Mayflower tells the true story of the improbable creation of the famous replica ship and her high-profile voyage across the Atlantic. Those behind the idea had no plans, no crew, and no money, only a grand vision to thank America for its World War II sacrifices. Richard Stone, former television executive, has researched captivating new details of the Mayflower II venture in this new book featuring a foreword by noted Plymouth historian James W. Baker.
