You are invited to the opening reception for the Shaker Museum Pop-Up Exhibition, “The Commercialization of Shaker Knits,” curated by Emily Adams Bode Aujla, at the Kinderhook Knitting Mill.
The exhibition explores the evolution of Shaker knitting from nineteenth-century craft to profitable commercial practice and its distinct and long-lasting impact on American athletic wear and fashion.
If you can’t make the opening, the exhibition will be open Thursdays – Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sundays from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM and runs until September 10th, 2023.
