Tea Party in Honor of Lee Hood
The Claverack Free Library is having a tea party celebration in honor of Lee Hood, renowned professional seamstress and Claverack resident since 1952 until her death earlier this year. Join us on May 11 at 3:00 pm and “Walk down the aisle” to view decades of her bridal designs and historical fashions from the 1950’s-2002.
Enjoy tea from Verdigris and light refreshments while listening to local cellist Jay Shulman perform period pieces.
Video interviews of Mrs. Hood, taken by the Claverack Free Library History Room committee, will be shown with her reminiscing over her brides and experiences. With thanks to her family, we’ll also have her extensive photo albums with recital photos, wedding gowns, and more for browsing.
Call the library at 518-851-7120 or email info@claveracklibrary.org for reservations.
