Presenting Six Weeks of Free Community Programming at the Hudson Waterfront July 5th – August 9, 2023
Mark your calendars and get ready for the return of the highly anticipated Waterfront Wednesdays, now in its fourth year, commencing on July 5th.
This beloved community event, presented by The Hudson Sloop Club, The Hudson Arts Coalition, and Operation Unite New York, invites residents and visitors alike to immerse themselves in six weeks of vibrant cultural programming that celebrates the spirit of togetherness, accessibility, and artistic expression. Best of all, it’s entirely free for everyone to enjoy.
Every Wednesday, from July 5th to August 9th, the Hudson Waterfront will come alive with a diverse range of activities and entertainment that cater to all ages and interests. The evening begins with an African drum circle from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, fostering a sense of rhythm and unity within the community.
As the sun sets, prepare to be captivated by live programming at 7:00 PM, featuring an eclectic lineup of talented artists who will enchant audiences with their unique sounds and vibrant energy.
New this year is beloved Hudson M.C., Loki Anthony, who will be hosting the weekly festivities.

From dockside fishing to exhilarating sailing excursions and enchanting trips to the lighthouse, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

About The Hudson Sloop Club:
The Hudson Sloop Club Inc. was founded in 2014. Inspired by the rich history of sloop clubs started by Pete Seeger, the Hudson Sloop Club is a grassroots, mostly volunteer organization which aims to protect, restore and celebrate the Hudson River through community engagement. We have accomplished this through free public sails, afterschool and summer camp programs, all-age boatbuilding classes, and river clean-up events. In 2022 we partnered with 6 different vessels to host 43 public, free-of-charge boat trips, which served 544 passengers. In 2023 we look forward to introducing our solar-powered mobile ecology education center. Starting in 2021, we have been granted annual contracts with the City of Hudson to manage their commercial dock space and encourage vessels specializing in public programming and education to visit Hudson, NY.
