Halloween Spooktacular featuring Dmitry Wild / The Industry Darlings / Poetry by Jane Ormerod
Now he is riding on the coattails of finishing his latest album under the tentative title, “Cosmic Wife” where he created an amalgamated jazz sound intertwined with rock, psychobilly and garage rock.
Live he is joined by an unexpected line-up of musicians but most often on Bass – Hannah Moorhead (The Giraffes), and on Sax Justin Birk (Blase Debris) and Russel on Drums will be doing double duty that night.
The Industry Darlings (NYC) are a glam garage rock ‘n’ roll band formed in New York City in late 2022. Mike Dudolevitch (guitar, vocals) and Christian Dryden (bass, vocals) developed material as a 2-piece with Christian originally on drums. He switched to bass as Russel Yusuf (drums) joined the band and solidified their power-trio lineup. Local and regional shows were booked as the Mike Dudolevitch Band, but the band was quickly renamed the Industry Darlings, a reference to a fictional band depicted in a Bayaz music video. They draw sonic inspiration from blues-based British Invasion bands (Cream, The Kinks), 70’s glam rock pioneers (T. Rex), and power-pop innovators (The Nerves).
Jane Ormerod is an artist, poet, and co-host of the Park Theater literary series “A Galère of Poetic Autopsies.” She is the recipient of a NYC Acker Award.
