Park Theater Halloween Bash: Tommy Stinson/Cowboys in the Campfire + Dust Bowl Faeries
Cowboys in the Campfire
In plain words, Tommy Stinson is a great American musician. Stinson was a founding and lifetime member of The Replacements. He was a key second-generation ingredient in Guns N’ Roses and served a seven-year tenure with Soul Asylum. He also led two essential bands of his ownm Bash & Pop and Perfect, appeared on recordings by the Old 97’s, MOTH and BT and played bass on the Rock Remix of Puff Daddy’s “It’s All About the Benjamins.” Stinson’s latest venture is called Cowboys in the Campfire — with Chip Roberts and “Chops” LaConte.
Dust Bowl Faeries
NY Hudson Valley based Dust Bowl Faeries is a faerie-tale fusion of dark cabaret, gothic polka and post-punk music. The band’s eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus songs, murder ballads and Eastern European folk tunes. Ryder Cooley, faerie leader, plays accordion and saw. Ryder is joined by Jon B Woodin, Rubie LaRue, Andrew Stein, Jude Roberts and their taxidermy spirit animal Hazel the Ram.
