The Olana Partnership FREE Third Thursday / Tercer Jueves at Olana State Historic Site

The Olana Partnership will hold its monthly FREE Third Thursday on July 18th from 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Olana State Historic Site. Olana Third Thursdays are monthly community days of free tours and programs for all ages. The July Third Thursday will feature an outdoor musical performance in addition to free tours, programs, and extended evening hours.

Join researchers from Hawthorne Valley’s Farmscape Ecology program from 4:00 – 5:30 pm for a walk to experience Olana’s landscape from the perspective of our native habitats. Explore what plants and animals live in the habitats at Olana and learn how Frederic Church’s landscape compares to our wider region.

At 6:00pm Brasskill, the Hudson Valley’s Party Brass Band will perform outdoors near the historic house. Listen to lively tunes as you watch the sunset and take in Olana’s famous views.

Visitors are also invited to attend free tours of the historic landscape, house, and the special exhibition, Afterglow: Frederic Church and the Landscape of Memory. Tickets can be reserved on-site, day-of, starting at 12:30 pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
